Albert Hasek,86,of Belle Vernon,died Sunday,Aug. 20,2000,in the Hallsworth House,Charleroi. He was born Dec. 18,1913,in Fredericktown,a son of the late George and Rose Hasek. He was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. He lived most of his life in Belle Vernon. He retried in 1977 from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.,where he was a welder. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law,Martha and Edmund A. Deluga of Monessen;one son and daughter-in-law,Albert T. and Jane Hasek of Jefferson Estates,Fayette City;two sisters,Rose Grebb of Troy Hill,Pittsburgh,and Caroline of Europe;two grandchildren,Karen Walker and Mary Elizabeth McKnight;and three great-grandchildren,Joshua and Jade Walker,and Destiny Mcknight. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by his wife;Mary Matola Hasek,in 1977;four brothers,Anthony,George,Thomas and John Hasek;and one sister,Alfreda Ferris. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC.,A Golden Rule member firm, 700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. A Blessing service will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.in the funeral home,followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Legion of Mary of St. Sebastan Church,will meet at 3 p.m.Tuesday in the funeral home to recite the Rosary.
