Obituary

Albert Gohosky,83,of Belle Vernon,died Thursday,July 15,1993,in the home of his sister,Ann Kobaly George in Belle Vernon,after a short illness. He was born May 1,1910,in Willock,a son of the late Albert and Jennie Meig Gohosky. He was a retired coal miner and was a member of the United Mine Workers of America. He was a member of St.Joseph's Polish National Catholic Church,Fairhope,a member of the PNA Lodge,Arnold City,the Fairhope Rod and Gun Club,the Naolmi A.C.Club,the Slovak Club,Gillespie and the Athletic Club,Belle Vernon. Survivors include one brother,Rudy Gohosky of Arnold City,three sisters,Jennie Brown of Pittsburgh,Bernice Santavicca of Arnold City and Ann Kobaly George of Lynnwood. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by his wife,June Miller Gohosky in 1984,one daughter,Velma Mae Gohosky in 1948,three brothers and one sister. Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday until 1 p.m. in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Saturday,followed by Mass at 1:30 p.m. in St.Joseph Polish National Catholic Church,(Fairhope),Belle Vernon,with the Rev.Felix Pyzowski as celebrant. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
