Obituary

Albert Dominick, 88, formerly of Market Street, Belle Vernon, died Friday, Jan. 16, 2004, in Mt. Vernon of South Park. A son of the late Michael and Viola Alessio Dominick, he was born in Monessen on Feb. 1, 1915. He was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon, a former member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Until his confinement in Mt. Vernon, he had resided in Belle Vernon since 1945. Mr. Dominick retired in 1976 from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Co., where he was a welder. Survivors include one son, Michael John Dominick and wife Rae of Downingtown, one daughter, Kathleen Wilson and husband Albert of Morrisville, one brother, Leonard Dominick of Monessen, six grandchildren, Michael, Anna and Marc Dominick, and Kaitlin, Kellen and Bryan Wilson, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Volpi Dominick, on March 17, 1981. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC. and CREMATION SERVICE, a Golden Rule Member Firm, (724-929-5300), 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. A blessing service will be in the funeral home on Tuesday, Jan. 20 at 9 a.m. with Father Lawrence Manchas officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
