Obituary

Albert C.Manown,57,of Bentleyville,was found dead in his car at the 519 Truck Stop and Interstate 70 Saturday,April 25,1970. The Washington County coroner's office said death was accidental,attributable to carbon monoxide (asphyziation). Mr.Manown was born in Finleyville on Sept.22,1912,the son of James and Mary Mellon Manown. He served with Headquarters Troop,5th Cavalry Regiment,in World War II and was a member of Charleroi Post 22,American Legion. Surviving are one son,William,of Toledo,Ohio,a brother,James,of Belle Vernon,and a sister,Mrs.Ida Wheatley of Coal Center R.D.1. Friends are being received at Kenneth V.Thompson Funeral Home,809 Main St.,Bentleyville. Service there Tuesday,April 28,1970,at 1 p.m.with the Rev.Kenneth McCay officiating. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Military service by American Legion Post 22 of Charleroi at the funeral home April 27 at 9 p.m. Kenneth V.Thompson Funeral Home in charge.
