Obituary

Albert L.Brassart Sr.,65,of 229 Hoffman St.,Belle Vernon (Fairhope),died Saturday,Feb.23,1991,at 10:30 p.m. in Jefferson Hospital,after a short illness with cancer. He ws born Jan.23,1926,in Robinson Township,a son of the late Hippolyte and Louise Assenat Brassart. Mr.Brassart was a lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area. He was a member of the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church of Belle Vernon. A veteran of World War II,he had served with the U.S.Army. He retired after 45 years of service as an operator in the automatics department of Corning Glass Company of Charleroi. In addition to his parents,he was preced in death by a brother,John Baptiste. He is survived by his wife,Mary Pobok Brassart,a daughter,Patricia Wardle of Fairhope,a son and daughter-in-law,Albert L.and Cheryl Leasure Brassart Jr.of Fairhope,three grandchildren,Jennifer,Albert l.III and Nolan Ryan,and two brothers,Louis E.Brassart of Rapid City,S.D.,and Fred A.Brassart of Elizabeth Township. Friends will be received at the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Relatives and friends will gather on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church,Mary Street,Belle Vernon,for services with the Rev.John Kluchko,pastor,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A Parastas service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
