Obituary

Albert A.Komacko,78,of Perryopolis,died Monday,Sept.30,1996,at 2:05 a.m.in Mercy Hospital,Pittsburgh. He was born June 15,1918,in Wickhaven,a son of the late Matthew and Katherine Gurbal Komacko Sparinga. Mr.Komacko was a member of the UMWA,Sokol Club of Perryopolis and Star Junction Fish and Game Club. Surviving are his wife,Lilliam Mason Komacko,a son,Albert C.Komacko Jr of Cortland,Ohio,two daughters,Mrs.Gary (Kathleen) Sharp of Pittsburgh and Mrs.William (Beverly) Crick of Carmichaels,one stepson,William Mason of Belle Vernon,three step-daughters,Mrs.James (Rosemarie) Lucas of Anniston,Ala.,Debra Mason of Monessen and Sherrie Lynn Mason of Pittsburgh,10 grandchildren,and two brothers,Steve Komacko of Star Junction and Anthony Sparinga of Perryopolis. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by his wife,Mary Komacko,who died April 12,1986,and a sister,Helen Petronio,who died Feb.20,1994. Friends will be received in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home Inc.,106 East Independence St.,Perryopolis,Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A prayer service will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.in the funeral home,followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in St.John Roman Catholic Church,Perryopolis,with the Rev.John T.Euker as celebrant. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery,Belle Vernon. A wake service will be held Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. The Blair-Lowther Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of the arrangements.
