Obituary

Agnes Kocian Fidnarik, 92, of Carroll Township, formerly of Belle Vernon, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at 7:05 a.m. at Mon Valley Care Center, Carroll Township. Born Oct. 2, 1917, in Pricedale, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mari Janac Kocian. Mrs. Fidnarik was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, a homemaker, member of the former Catholic Daughters of the Americas Belle Vernon Court 1522 and the St. Sebastian Legion of Mary. She is survived by three sisters, Helen Mogan of Massachusetts, Margaret Butera of Charleroi and Dolores Snyder of Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Fidnarik, two brothers, Frank Kocian Jr. and Steve Kocian, and three sisters, Rose Sedlak, Mary Blumenstock and Ann Jeffers. Visitation will be held Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Prayer Service will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. in the funeral home followed by Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. James F. Bump as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Agnes Fidnarik Friday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
