Obituary

Adeline Gilotty Smith of 351 Balazia Ave.,Monessen,died Thursday,May 22,1975,at 11:10 a.m.in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital,following an extended illness. Mrs.Smith was born in Monessen,the daughter of Mr.and Mrs.Charles Gilotty,who survive. She was a teacher in the Monessen School District and was head teacher at Ben Franklin Elementary School. Mrs.Smith was a graduate of California State College,where she also was awarded her masters degree. She was a member of St.Cajetan Catholic Church of Monessen,Christian Mothers of St.Cajetan,Catholic Women's College Club,National Education Association,Pennsylvania State Education Association,and the Monessen Education Association. Survivors,besides her parents who reside in Monessen,include her husband,J.Calvin Smith,five daughters,Barbara,Patricia,Elaine,Carol and Geraldine Smith,all at home,one son,Gary Smith,at home,a sister,Mrs.Amerigo (Wilhemina) Mancinelli of Monessen,and four brothers,Jennings Gilotty of Charleroi,Robert Gilloty of Monessen,Richard Gilotty of Aliquippa,and Norman Gilotty of Monessen. Friends will be received in the Denver Rhome Funeral Home,Inc.in Monessen from 2 p.m.until 10 p.m.on Friday,May 23,1975 where a Blessing service will be held at 10 a.m.on Saturday,May 24,1975 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m.in St.Cajetan Catholic Church of Monessen with the Rev.P.Lino Ramellini,pastor,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions be sent of the Cancer Society. Denver Rhome Inc.funeral directors in charge.
