Obituary

Adelia Monti,84,of 520 Bluff St.,Belle Vernon,died Wednesday,Aug.17,1977 at 1:05 a.m. in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. She was born in Borgo-A-Buggiano,Italy on Jan.20,1893 and had lived in the Belle Vernon area for more than 65 years. Mrs.Monti was a member of St.Sebastian Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. She was a charter member of the Sons of Italy,Charleroi,and had belonged to the organization for over 50 years. She was also a charter member and member of the Anita Garibaldi Society of Belle Vernon. She belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary and Defense Club,both of Belle Vernon,and the Belle Vernon and Charleroi Golden Age clubs. She was preceded in death by her husband,Archie Monti,on Sept.30,1965,by two grandsons,Larry K.Martin in 1977 and Ronnie Bradley,in 1947,and by a brother,Louis Pasquinelli,in 1975. Surviving are one son,Raymond J.Monti,of Lancaster,Calif.,two daughters,Mrs.Antonio (Ida) Pineiro of Belle Vernon and Mrs.Francis (Hilda) Bradley of Baltimore,Md.,one brother,Peter Pasquinelli of San Francisco,Calif.,three sisters and two brothers,all in Italy,four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,from 7 to 9 p.m.Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Thursday. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Friday at 9:30 a.m.,followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.Sebastian Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson is funeral director in charge.
