Adele Helon, 90 of Washington Twp., PA, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016 in Mon Valley Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 17, 1925 in Charleroi, PA, a daughter of the late Americo Troiano and the late Josephine Volpe Troiano. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis, Pa. Adele and her husband Matt were the owners of M & D Dist. of Ice Cream until their retirement in April of 1994. Adele is survived by her two children; son, Matthew A. Helon and wife Leslee of Monessen,Pa., and daughter, Vicki Olexa and husband Michael of Jefferson Twp., Perryopolis, Pa.; four grandchildren, Matthew Helon, Jamie Hallam and husband Shaun, Christy DeCarlo and husband Dominic and Michael Matthew Olexa; one great-grandson, Connor Hallam. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Matthew E. (Matt) Helon on September 7, 1994 and one sister, Katherine Waggoner. Family and Friends will be received Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home,Inc., 334 Main St., Fayette City, PA. 724-326-5621,www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com.
