Obituary

Addie M. Dougherty, 81, of Perryopolis R.D. 1, formerly of Belle Vernon died Tuesday,Feb.15,1977,at 10:15 a.m. in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. She was born in Peters Creek on Dec. 23, 1895 and had lived in Perryopolis the past 16 years. Prior to that time, she was a resident of Belle Vernon. Mrs. Dougherty was a member of the First Baptist Church, Belle Vernon. She was preceded in death by her husband. Philip Dougherty, in 1937. Surviving are two sons, Harry E. Dougherty of Belle Vernon and Thomas R. Dougherty of Terre Haute, Ind.,four sisters, Mrs. Hugh (Bertha) Kissler of Belle Vernon, Mrs Elizabeth Willingham of Woodlake, Calif., Mrs. Herbert (Helen) Fullard of Munhall and Mrs. Henry (Betty) Teska of Perryopolis R. D. 1, with whom she made her home: 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home, Belle Vernon from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Thursday. Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 1 p.m.with the Rev.Charles Colas,pastor of the First Baptist Church,Belle Venon,officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson is funeral director in charge.
