Obituary

Ada Laverne Lehew, 80, of Belle Vernon, died Sunday, July 20, 2014, at Monongahela Valley Hospital, Monongahela. Born July 21, 1933, in Warren, Ohio, she was the only child of the late Ralph and Ada Irene Markle Lehew. She lived her whole life in the Belle Vernon area, where she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon. She was an active member of the Church Women's HOA Class and the Dames of Malta. She was known for her wonderful memory, her beautiful penmanship and her love of books. She is survived by cousins, Dave and Janice Sandy of Belle Vernon, Evaline Danter of West Newton, Bernice M. Markle of Mechanicsburg, William Hiesey of Meadville, and their children and grandchildren; her very caring best friend, Joanne Bowden; plus other friends of the Belle Vernon Highrise; caregivers, April and Bridget; and a supportive church family. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Additional visitation will be held Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. in the Parzynski Funeral Home and Cremations with the Rev.
