Arthur (Chappy) Hancock of Allenport,died suddenly at his home Saturday, September 12,1953, at 10:15 a.m. Mr. Hancock was born in England April 29,1884. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Hancock,four sons,George of Fayette City, Frank of Arlington,Texas,Roy of Finleyville and Fred of Memphis, Tennessee; one daughter,Mrs. Robert Hopton of Allenport; three brothers, Joseph of Allenport,Fred in England and Alfred of Allenport;one sister, Mrs. George Gater of Allenport and seven grandchildren. Friends will be received at the McCrory Funeral Home. Services will be held there Tuesday, September 15,1953,at 2 p.m.,in charge of Roger A. Cowan of the Fayette City Presbyterian Cchurch. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. George M. McCrory and Son are the funeral directors.
