Earl W. Gillespie, 72, of 230 Second St.,Belle Vernon, died Thursday, Aug. 26,1976 at 3:45 p.m. in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. He was born March 26,1904 in Monongahela,moved to Belle Vernon in 1943 and was a former resident of Buffalo, N.Y. Mr. Gillespie retired in 1969 as a machinist from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp's Allenport Plant. Surviving are his widow, Reberta Hall Gillespie; one daughter, Mrs. Jack (Jean) Goltz of West Mifflin; two sisters, Mrs. Sadie Winstone of Toledo,Ohio and Mrs. Madeline Burrows of Belle Vernon and one granddaughter, Mrs. Karen Viggiano. Friends will be received at the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Monday,Aug. 30 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Charles Colas of the First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon officiating. Burial will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
