William H. Gettings,72,of 732 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Monday, Aug. 9,1976 at 1:40 p.m. in the Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. He was born June 9,1904 in Wellsville,Ohio,the son of the late Harry and Roxanne Gettings. He was a resident of Belle Vernon for the past 10 years and is a former Monongahela resident. Mr. Gettings was a retired employee of Patterson Supply Co.,Monongahela. Surviving are his widow, Loretta;one daughter, Mrs. Jack (Patricia) Roley of Belle Vernon;two brothers, Edward Gettings of New Eagle and Arthur McDermott of Monongahela; one sister, Mrs. Alice Moffett of Charleroi and one grandson, Derrick Roley of Belle Vernon. Freinds will be received at the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Tuesday from 7 to p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Thursday, Aug. 12 at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Dr. S. Arthur Talman of the Belle Vernon First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
