Obituary

Dessie C.Goins,54,of Fayette City,died suddenly at 7:35 a.m.Thursday,April 10,1975,at his residence. Born Feb.9,1921,in Terrytown,Ga.,he was a son of Thomas and Flora Burnett Goins of Fayette City and had resided in the Pricedale (Rostraver Twp.) area most of his life. He was employed at the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. Mr.Goins was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Union Baptist Church,Independence Protective Benevolent Order of Elks of the World (IPBOE of W) Lodge 697,and Joseph Ford American Legion Post 691,all of Monessen. In addition to his parents,he is survived by two aunts,two uncles,and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m.tomorrow and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Sunday in the William R.Taylor Funeral Home,645 McMahon Ave.Monessen.Services will be held at 11 a.m.Monday in the Union Baptist Church of Monessen,with the Rev.L.D.Wiley in charge. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. William R.Taylor is the funeral director in charge.
