Mrs. Emma L. Gomez of 423 Tenth St.,Monessen,died in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital on Monday,July 7,1969,at 8:40 a.m. after a short illness. A Monesen resident since 1920,Mrs. Gomez was born in Eastman,Ga. She was a member of the Jehovah Witnesses of Monessen. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. William (Zadine) Bronson of Monessen,with whom she made her home;a son,Willie of New York City;three brothers, Ulice Payne of Donora,Clifton and Jasee Payne,both of New York City; a sister,Mrs. Virginia Holmes of New York City; 10 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Her husband, John,died in 1960. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. July 8 at the Beverly C. Draper Funeral Home,Monessen. Service in the funeral home chapel Thursday,July 10,at 11 a.m.with Brother Angelo Galuppo of the Monessen Jehovah Witnesses,officiating. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly C. Draper is funeral director.
