Services for Charles Gregory,former area business man, who died Saturday, Feb. 22,1964 at 4 a.m.,at his home, 111 Lookout Ave.,Charleroi,will be held Tuesday. Mr. Gregory was born in Korce, Albania in 1883,coming to this country in 1907. For 30 years he was active in business. His business interests included six hotels among them the Charleroi and Monongahela Hotels,Arlington Apartments in Uniontown,several florist shops,cleaning establishments,confectionary stores and theatres. From 1936 to 1949 he was empoyed at the Allenport plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. At the time of his death he was retired with business confined to property in Connellsville. Surviving are his widow,Proxy Kiki Gregory; four sons, Frank, Harry,Peter and George,all of Charleroi; Five daughters, Jennie Gregory,at home, Mrs. Jules Philoze, Mrs. Bryon Watson, Mrs. Elaine Oxenford, all of New Jersey and Mrs. Gerald Barrett of Ohio; three brothers,Peter and William of Uniontown and Terry of Korce,Albania and 11 grandchildren. Friends are being recieved at the Francis C.Slezak Funeral Home,Third St.and Fallowfield Ave.,Charleroi.
