A member of the Italian Beneficial Society of Belle Vernon and the Sons of Italy;Smithton;he was a retired United Mine Worker having retired from the Somers Mine;Pricedale;in 1952. Surviving are his widow;Gladys Rutkowski Gavazzi;a son;Ralph Jr.and a daughter;Vivian;both at home;two brothers in Italy. Friends are being received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where funeral services will be held Wednesday;April 10;at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
