Caleb LLoyd Griffith,of New Phildelphia,Ohio,formerly of Claysville and Fayette City,died Saturday,April 30,1960 t 12:30 p.m. He was born in Meadowville,West Virginia,December 13,1872. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Claysville,F.and A.M. Lodge,447,Claysville,B.P.O.E. Lodge of Brownsville. He was retired as a New York Central Railroad Conductor. He is survived by three sons,Harold,Pittsburgh,Odell and Glenn Griffith of Akron,Ohio,four daughters,Mrs.John Kerns,Mrs.Joseph Gray,Mrs.Paul Shamberger and Mrs.Julius Sabo,all of Akron,Ohio,two step-daughters,Mrs.Edward Cooper,of Charleroi and Mrs.Thomas J.Welsh,of Pittsburgh,one sister,Mrs. Jospehine Newcomer of Hagerstown,Maryland. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Schrock Funeral Home,Charleroi. Services will be held there Tuesday,May 3,at 1 p.m.,in charge of the Rev.Arthur R.Day of the United Presbyterian Church,Claysville. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
