John Wesley Govier Sr.,66,145 Johnson Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Sunday,Sept.14,1958,at 5:40 p.m.in the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital after an illness of one year. Born Nov.26,1891,he was employed as chief draftsman at the Allenport plant of the Pittsburgh Steel Co.,until his retirement May 1,1958. Survivors include his wife,Marian;two sons,John Wesley Jr.of Detroit,Mich.and William J.of Monessen and five grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Ferguson Funeral Home,Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,from 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Services will be held on Wednesday,Sept.17,at 2 p.m.from the funeral home,with the Rev.James C.Puz,pastor of the First Baptist Church,Belle Vernon,officiating.
