James H.Forsythe;59;of 132 Pennsylvania Blvd.;Monessen;died Wednesday;Dec.21;1977;at 2:15 p.m.in Washington Hospital. He was born in Monessen on Jan.14;1918. Mr.Forsythe had resided in Monessen the past five years and formerly lived in Belle Vernon most of his life. He retired Dec.1;1977 as a craneman at the Gibsonton Yards of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was preceded in death by his father;Robert Forsythe;in 1972. Surviving are his widow;Edith Webb Forsythe;one daughter;Mrs.John (Carole) Borda of Houston;Pa.;his mother;Mrs.Della Forsythe of Monessen;and two grandchildren;John Forsythe Borda and Carrie Linn Borda. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;Belle Vernon;from 7 to 9 p.m.Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Friday. Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 1 p.m.with Pastor R.Dawson Hopson of the First United Methodist Church;Belle Vernon;officiating.
