Obituary

Emma Ruth Farmer,73,of Morton St.,New Eagle,died Monday,June 16,1975,at 7:55 p.m. in Monongahela Division of Mon Valley Hospital. She had been ill the past three weeks. Mrs.Farmer was born in Carnegie on Mar.17,1902,the daughter of the late William and Mary Gillis Hillen and had resided in the Monngahela-New Eagle area for the past 52 years. Her husband,Harry R.Farmer,died in 1968. Survivors include two daughters,Mrs.Ruth Gamble of Monongahela nd Mrs.James (June) Doyle of Greensboro,N.C.,three grandchildren,one sister,Mrs.Thomas Clark of Youngstown,Ohio,and four brothers,John and James Hillen,both of Florida,and Eugene and Phillip Hillen,both of Carnegie. Friends will be received after 7 p.m.on Tuesday,June 17,1975,in the L.M.Frye Funeral Home in Monongahela where a Blessing service will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m.on Thursday,June 19,1975,with the Rev.Paul P.Leger,pastor of Transfiguration Catholic Church of Monongahela,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. L.M.Frye funeral director in charge.
