Obituary

Charles W. Fleming, 89, of 224 Donner Ave., Monessen, died Monday,Sept.23,1963,at 8:20 p.m. after a short illness. Born in Clymer, Pa., Mr. Fleming had been a Monessen resident for over 50 years. At one time he operated a garage and blacksmith shop at 145 Donner Ave. In later years he was employed at the Page Division of American Chain and Cable Co. until retirement in 1947. He was a member of the First Methodist Church of Monessen. Preceding him in death were his wife, Mary Wood Fleming, in 1926, and two sons, Early W. and Kenneth C. Fleming. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Cornelius (Mary) Stevenson of Monessen, one brother, Blair of Rossonier, Pa., three grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Friends are being received at the H.Denver Rhome Funeral Home in Monessen after 3 p.m.on Wednesday. Services will take place on Thursday,Sept.26,at 2 p.m.in the funeral home,in charge of the Rev.Jackson A.Gabany,pastor of the First Methodist Church of Monessen. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. H.Denver Rhome,funeral director.
