Sherman Fears,61,died at the home of his daughter,Mrs. Carrie Hill,88 Bank St.,Donora, Tuesday,Feb. 10,1959 at 7:50 a.m. He had been ill for the past four years. He was born in McDonough,Ga.March 15,1897 and had lived in Donora the past 34 years. He was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church and was employed by the American Steel and Wire Division. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Hill and Diane Fears,both of Donora;two sons,Reuben Fears,of New York City and Sherman Fears Jr. of Donora and one brother,Alonzo in Atlanta,Ga. Freinds will be received at the Law Funeral Home,Donora,after 5 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be held Saturday,Feb. 14,at 11 a.m. at St.Paul Baptist Church,Donora,the Rev. W.E. McBrayer,pastor,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Percy Law, funeral director.
