A resident of this area for 60 years.Dzvid L. Fretz,of 165 Donner avenue, Monessen,died Saturday, Aug. 4,1956.at 7:45 p.m. Survivors include two sons, George R. of Dunlevy and Edward, in the state of Oregon;a daughter,Mrs. Hazel Bowell,of Belle Vernon;three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Two brothers,James S. Fretz,of Belle Vernon and William Fretz,of Bentleyville and three sisters,Mrs Mary Brown of Live Oak,Fla.,Mrs. Bertha Haywood of Donora and Mrs. Emma Fleming of Belle Vernon also survive. Friends will be received at the Check Home for Funerals,Monessen,during hours of 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Services will be held there Tuesday,August 7,1956,at 2 p.m.,in charge of Rev. David M. Clappenburg of the Assembly of God Church,North Charleroi. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. John L. Kravets is the funeral director.
