Mrs. Mary Lamey Engle,88,formerly of Oneida St.,Monessen.died Wednesday,Feb. 19,1958 at the home of her daughter,Mrs.John H. (Gladys) Butler of Sharon,where she had made her home for the past two years. She had been ill for several months. Born in McDonald,Mrs. Engle had been a resident of Monessen for 60 years,coming to Monessen from Belle Vernon. She was formerly a member of the St. Leonard R.C.Church,Monessen,later affiliating with the St. Joseph R.C. Church,Sharon.She held membership in the Ladies Catholic Benevolent Assn.Branch 835 of Monessen,and was a member of the Sacred Heart Society of the St. Leonard Church. She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Susanna Cossar Lamey,and was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Engle in 1941. Surviving along with her daughter, Mrs. Butler,are nieces,Mrs. Bernard Diethorne and Mrs. Leonard Cook,both of Monessen;nephew,William Lamey,Monessen and the family of the late Isbella Bradley of Sheridan. Friends will be recieved at the R.A. Billick Funeral Home,Monessen,ater 7 p.m.on Feb.20. Funeral home visiting hours are from 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Services will be held Saturday,Feb.22,at 10:30 a.m.from the funeral home,with additional services to follow at 11 o'clock from the St. Leonard R.C.Church,Monessen. The Rev. Martin J. O'toole will officiate at Solemn High Mass. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetey. R.A.Billick,funeral director.
