Obituary

Zane Lee Deneen Sr.,46, of 40 Bluff St.,Belle Vernon,was dead on arrival Thursday,Sept. 1,1977 at 6:30 p.m. at Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital,following a high-lift accident in Rostraver Twp.  Mr. Deneen was born June 18,1931 in Washington Twp.,a son of the late George and Myrtle Welch Deneen. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1972 after 24 years of service. Mr. Deneen awas a member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659, Belle Vernon Area VFW Post 3557,and the Air Force Sergeant's Association, Washington, D.C. Survivors include his widow, Joan Horan Deneen; three sons,Zane Lee Deneen Jr.,at the Homestead Air Force Base,Florida,and George and Edward Deneen, both at home;two daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Susan) Moncini of Belle Vernon and Denise Deneen, at home;a granddaughter,Laura Leigh Moncini; a brother,Paul Deneen of Belle Vernon; five sisters, Mes. Edward (Zalla) Britton of Belle Vernon, Mrs. John (Grace) Petrisek of Bentleyville,Mrs. James (Cartha) Kavanagh of Fairbanks, Alaska. Mrs John (Eva Mae) Merrill of Santa Clara, California and Mrs. Ben (Yvonne) Brancolini of Clairton. Friends will be received in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home, Main St.,Fayette City, after 3 p.m. Saturday.  Services will be held in the funeral home Monday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Robert H.R. Loughborough Jr. of the Marion Presbyterian Church,Fairhope, officiating.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
