Obituary

A former resident of Newell and Brownsville died in St. Luke's hospital in Cleveland,Ohio,of internal injuries received in a fall from the fourth floor ledge of the apartment building in which he resided. Lowell (Bill) W. Dowler,20,of 2836 Franklin Blvd.,Cleveland,died of internal injuries received Monday morning Sept. 8,1969,when the ledge he was crawling along to enter his apartment broke. Mr. Dowler was born in Brownsville, Aug. 10,1949. He had lived in the Newell and Brownville area.Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Dorothy Otte Dowler of Brownsville;one brother, Arthur L. and one sister, Karen L.,both at home;his paternal grandfather,Clarence Dowler of Osceola,Ohio and his maternal grandfather, William C. Otte of Pittsburgh. Friends will be received at the Howard W. McCroy Funeral Home,Fayette City.
