Walter R.Colvin Jr.;63;of Belle Vernon R.D.4;died suddenly on Monday;April 28;1975 at 5:30 p.m.in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. Born Jan.29;1912;in Belle Vernon;he was a son of the late Walter and Bertha McEwen Colvin. Until his retirement three years ago;Mr.Colvin was employed by the Otto Milk Co. He was a U.S.Navy veteran of World War II. Mr.Colvin was a former trustee;deacon and elder of the Rehoboth Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon and was formerly superintendent of the church’s Sunday school. Surviving are his widow;Frances Wallace Colvin;two sons;Kenton R.of Belle Vernon;and Jan P.of Barberton;Ohio;one sister;Mrs.Richard (Viola) Weightman of Belle Vernon R.D.4;and four grandchildren. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m.on Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.on Wednesday at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m.with the Rev.Allie Clayton;pastor of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon;and the Rev.Charles Colas;pastor of the First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon;officiating. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
