Mrs. Martha Prentice Conner,65,of No. 2 Marion Villa, Belle Vernon,died Monday morning, June 28,1971 at 4:30 in Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh,after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her husband,Joseph Conner; two sons,James Prentice of Charleroi and Woodrow Prentice of Washington,Pa.; two daughters, Mrs. Anna Ruth Christopher of Washington,Pa.,and Mrs. Carol Pierce of Marianna; two step-daughters, Mrs. Ross (Anna May) Basile of Belle Vernon and Mrs. Ted (Evelyn) Organ of Monessen; three step-sons, Joseph Conner Jr.,of Needham, Mass.,Robert Conner of Wheeling, W.Va.,and Thomas Conner of Washington,D.C.;two brothers, Charles Dillow of Masontown and Jesse Dillow of Uniontown;three sisters, Mrs. Daisy Chips,Mrs. Mary Phillip and Mrs. Ellen Humbert; all of Uniontown;15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends will be received after 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,where a service will be held Thursday,July 1, followed by interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
