Richard A.Charles;56;of 667 Reed Ave.;Monessen;died suddenly on Sunday;Jan.19;1969 at 9:25 a.m. while at work at the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.;Monessen plant. Mr.Charles was employed at the plant as a timekeeper. He was the son of the late Perry and Mary Ann (Sibbit) Charles. He was a member of First Christian Church of Monessen and a member of Local Union 3486. Survivors include:his widow;Hazel;a daughter;Hazel Kay at home;four sisters;Mrs.George (Thelma) Ireland of Turtle Creek;Mrs.Vera Mcfeely of Charleroi;Mrs.George Petrus of Monessen and Mrs.Carl (Betty) Johnston of Clairton. Friends will be received at the H.Denver Rhome Funeral Home;Monessen. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev.H.Donald Lash of the Grace Methodist Church in charge. Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
