Fred Cox;72;of 118 Branthoover St.;Belle Vernon;died Thursday;Dec.7;1967;at 12:45 p.m.in Brownsville General Hospital after a short illness.  Born in Williamsburg;Ky.;Sept.8;1895;he came to Belle Vernon in 1928.  A U.S. Army World War I veteran and retired miner;Mr.Cox was a member of B.P.O. Elks Oaky Lodge 697 and Joseph H.Ford American Legion Post 691;both of Monessen.  He is survived by his widow;Blanche;two step-children;Adam McCloud of Philadelphia and Mrs.Pennie Lewis of Brooklyn;N.Y.  Friends are being received at the Beverly C.Draper Funeral Home;Monessen.    Funeral services will be held Monday;Dec.11;1967.  Elder W.Ramsey will officiate.  Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Beverly C.Draper is funeral director in charge of arrangements.
