Mr.Como retired from the Monessen plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co.on Oct.21;1967 where he had been foreman in the pipe shop. He was a member of the First Evangelical United Brethren Church of Monessen;where he was a ;trustee; and he belonged to the Free and Accepted Masons Lodge 643 of Belle
Vernon; Mon Valley Caravan;
serving on the board of directors; Consistory and Shrine of
Pittsburgh and North Belle
Vernon Volunteer Fire Dept.
Born in Naples; Italy; July 11;
1905; he had been in Belle Vernon 38 years; coming to Belle
Vernon from Monessen.
Surviving are his widow; Hilda Boston Como; a son; Ross
E. of Belle Vernon; four brothers; Albert Como of Ravenna;
Ohio; Roy Como of New Enterprise; George Como of Poland;
Ohio; and Arthur Lukens of
Hadley; Minn.; one granddaughter; Sandra.
Friends will be received at
the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home; Belle Vernon; after 7 p.m.Nov.3. Service there Monday;Nov.6;at 2 p.m.with the Rev.Donald L.Lash;pastor of Evangelical United Brethren Church in Monessen officiating. Interment;Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson is the funeral director.
