Obituary

Donald J.Crowe,53,of Sweeney Plan,Belle Vernon R.D.2 died in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital yesterday at 12:30 p.m. Mr.Crowe was a newspaper distrbutor for the Pittsburgh Press and Post-Gazette between Pittsburgh and Clarksburg,W.Va. He was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church,near Smithton,and its choir,Teamsters Local No.491 of Uniontown,Free and Accepted Masons of Belle Vernon No.643,Pittsburgh Consistory,Uniontown Lodge of Perfection,Rostraver grange No.919. Mr.Crowe was born in Uniontown on Nov.13,1913. He was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are his widow,Mary Scholl Stump Crowe,two step-daughters,Mrs.Matthew (Jane) Tokar and Mrs.Paul (Joan) Westfall of Belle Vernon R.d.,one step-son,James C.Stump,funeral director at Sweeney Plan,Belle Vernon R.D.2,two grandchildren,a sister,Mrs.Annie Kelly of Hopwood. Friends will be received after 7 p.m.,Dec.27 at the James C.Stump Funeral Home,Sweeney Plan,Belle Vernon R.D.2. Service there Thursday,Dec.28,at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Leonard J.Hatch,pastor of Olive Branch Baptist Church,near Smithton,officiating. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Masonic service at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Dec.28. James C.Stump,funeral director.
