Ralph G.Chapman Sr.;47;of 343 Union Place;Akron;Ohio;died Saturday at 2:15 p.m. in Akron City Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mr.Chapman worked as an assembler for William Engineers in Akron. He was a veteran of World War II;having served with the United States Army. Mr.Chapman was born at Blue;W.Va.;March 15;1919. Surviving are his widow;Geraldine (Rumbaugh) Chapman;three sons;Ralph G.Jr.of Baltimore;Robert and James at home;two daughters;Mrs.Phyllis Arbgaste in the state of California and Norma at home;his father;William of Paden City;W.Va.;his mother;Mrs.Hazel Hunsucker of Akron;three brothers;Earl of Sioux City;Iowa;Lawrence of Adrian;Mich.;and Harold of Akron. Friends are being received at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home in Fayette City where a service will take place Tuesday;July 12;at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev.Robert L.Trimble Sr.;pastor of Fayette City’s Methodist Church;in charge. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery with full military rites at graveside;conducted by Brightwell Daughtery Post 484;American Legion;Fayette City.Howard W.McCrory;funeral director.
