Private John V.Carson of Pricedale died in the Valley Forge Hospital;Phoenixville;Pa.;Thursday;July 2;1953. Private Carson was serving with the United State Army in Korea when he became ill. He was flown to Japan;and later brought back to the states and admitted to the Valley Forge Hospital. He is survived by his parents;Mr.and Mrs.Finley Carson;three brothers;Floyd and James of Pricedale and Private Finley Carson Jr.;U.S.A.;stationed at Camp Breckenridge;Kentucky;and one sister;Mrs.Ida Gordon of Pricedale. Friends are being received at the late home. Service will be held at the Antioch Baptist Church;Monday afternoon;July 6;1953;at 2 p.m.;and interment will follow in the Soldiers Plot of the Belle Vernon Cemetery. Military rites are in charge of the Joseph Ford Post of Monessen. Harold R.Toner is the funeral director.
