Bertha Bayley,83of Apartment 507,Belle Vernon Apartments,Belle Vernon,died Tuesday,April 5,1977 at 10:36 a.m. in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. Born in Pa on Feb.8,1894,she was a daughter of the late William and Hannah Bayley.She formerly resided in Belle Vernon and moved to Pittsburgh where she lived for 30 years before returning to Belle Vernon a year ago. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Anne Reece of Monessen and Mrs. Emily Rettstatt of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received at the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor R. Dawson Hopson of the First United Methodist Church,Belle Vernon,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson is funeral director in charge.
