George Barron of Rostraver Twp.;Belle Vernon R.D.3;died Friday;Nov.26;1976;at 11:45 p.m.at his home following a lingering illness. He was 69. Mr.Barron was born July 15;1907;in Monessen and was a resident of Rostraver Twp.for 38 years. For 18 years;until the time of his death he had owned and operated the Barron Holiday Motel at Route 51 and Interstate 70 south. He retired from the fabric department at the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.in 1960. Mr.Barron was recognized as an avid sportsman;hunter;and fisherman. He was a member of St.Sebastian Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. Surviving are his widow;Catherine Pivarnik Barron;two brothers;Henry of Port Richey;Fla.;and Emil of Belle Vernon R.D.4;two nieces and two nephews. Friends will be received at the Robert A.Billick Funeral Home;Grand Blvd.and Marion Ave.;Monessen;from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Sunday;Nov.28. Private funeral services will be held Monday;Nov.29;with a Mass of Christian Burial offered in St.Sebastian Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Robert A.Billick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
