Obituary

Edward L.Bergstedt of 806 Cardiff Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Sunday,Oct.24,1976 at 7:42 p.m.in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. He was born in Pittsburgh,a son of Agnes Bergstedt LeClair who survives,and the late William Bergstedt. Mr.Bergstedt came to Belle Vernon 29 years ago and was a retired electrician from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.Monessen plant. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the Army. Survivors in addition to his mother,include his widow,Josephine Knox,two step-sons,Jacob G.Hixon of Baltimore,Md.,Vernon Jr.Hixon of New York City,N.Y.,a daughter,Dianna Rizzutto of Millersville,Md.,four brothers,William Bergstedt of Lynnwood,David Bergstedt of Monessen,Raymond Bergstedt of Charleroi,Russell Bergstedt of Charleroi,11 grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Services under the direction of St.Sebastian Church,Belle Vernon,will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson is funeral director in charge.
