Lemuel Braxton;66;of 916 McMahon Ave.;Monessen;died Monday;May 8;1972;at 5:25 a.m.in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital after a lingering illness. He was born in Saluda;Va.;March 25;1906;and has been a resident of Monessen since 1922. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a retired millworker. He was a member of F&AM Lodge 79. Surviving are his widow;Mabel;one sons;Edward Allen of Fort Benning;Ga.;one brother;Herman of Staten Island;N.Y.;two sisters;Emma Harding and Uneeda Hynson;both of Baltimore;Md. Friends will be received after 7 p.m.Tuesday at the William R.Taylor Funeral Home;Monessen. The Rev.Clarence McCraw will officiate at the funeral service at 11 a.m.Thursday;May 11.
