Obituary

George Brindzak,79,of 820 McClintock Ave.,Belle Vernon,died suddenly Saturday,March 4,1972,at 3:30 a.m.in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. He was a member of the Slovak Presbyterian Church,Monessen,S.G.U.Sokol Lodge 47,Monessen,Calvinistic Presbyterian Union,Monessen Lodge 22. He retired from the Irvin Works in Dravosburg seven years ago. Surviving are his widow,Mrs.Helen Surovchak Brindzak,two daughters,Mrs.Peter (Margaret) Kelly of Roscoe and Mrs.Robert (Helen) Githens of Belle Vernon,two sons,George at home and Andrew of Cherry Hill,N.J.,two brothers,Andrew of Argentina and John of Czechoslovakia,one sister,Mrs.Susan Matta of Czechoslovakia,and five grandchildren. Friends are being received from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.at the Harold R.Toner Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,where a prayer service will be Monday at 7 p.m.and a funeral service will be held Tuesday,March 7,1972,at 1 p.m.with the Rev.Dr.S.Arthur Talman of the First Presbyterian Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner,funeral director.
