Obituary

Earl A. Blevins,25,of 145 Johnston Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Sunday,Jan.2,1972,at 9:09 a.m. in St.Francis Hospital,Pittsburgh. Mr.Blevins,who lived with his wife and parents at 145 Johnston Ave.,North Belle Vernon,was born on May 12,1946 and was a graduate of Bellmar High School,Class of 1964. He attended Ohio State University,while a member of the ROTC. While at Ohio State he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and had received presidential awards for honor grades at Ohio State. He was a member of the NROTC until Feb.14,1971,when he was released from active duty while serving on the aircraft carrier,Coral Sea. Surviving are his bride of two months,Karen Ray Blevins,his parents,Earl V.and Mafalda Pro Blevins,who lived at the same address,two brothers,Robert and James,both at home,one sister,Karen,at home and paternal grandmother,Mrs.Florence Blevins of Monessen. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Monday at the Rhome Funeral Home,1209 Grand Blvd.,Monessen,where services will be held Tuesday,Jan.4,1972,at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Rhome funeral directors in charge.
