Charles R.Baxter;70;of Wayne St.;Roscoe;died Thursday;Dec.30;1971;at 8:35 a.m.after a brief illness. He was born in Gillespie July 29;1901;a son of the late William and Ellen Holland Baxter. He was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel’s Allenport Plant and member of the C.I.O.Union. He is survived by one sister;Mrs.Samuel (Ellen Roberta) Bell of Elco. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Ruth Eckert Funeral Home;Roscoe;where a service will be held Sunday;Jan.2;at 2 p.m. with the Rev.Lloyd Tennies of the United Methodist Church of Roscoe officiating.
