Mrs.Vernice Barton;50;of 630 McMahon Ave.;Monessen;died at 10:15 p.m.Wednesday;July 14;1971;in a traffic accident on Route 51;Rostraver Twp.near Rostraver Gardens;where she had just finished playing bingo and was on her way home. She was born Nov.28;1919. She was an employee of Mayview State Hospital and belonged to St.Leonard R.C.Church;Monessen. Mrs.Barton is survived by her husband;J.Clark;two sons;John Clark Jr.of Landover;Md.;and Keith;at home;two daughters;Mrs.Sharon Link of Pittsburgh and Wanda at home;her mother;Winniferd Manns;New York;a brother;Orpheus of Ozone Park;Long Island;N.Y.;three sisters;Mrs.Frances Ferguson of Portsmouth;Ohio;Mrs.Lucille Kent of New York;and Wanetta Cooper;New York;and one grandchild. Friends will be received at William R.Taylor Funeral Home;Monessen after 2 p.m.Friday;July 15. A Requiem Mass will be said at St.Leonard R.C.Church at 11 a.m.Saturday with the Rev.Ronald Rutkowski;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
