Edward McClurg Bickerton;74;of 116 State St.;Speers Hill;died Saturday morning;July 23;1966;at 4 o’clock in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Mr.Bickerton was born in West Elizabeth;May 13;1892;a son of the late William and Clara Jane Graham Bickerton. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church;Charleroi. He was a veteran of World War I;having served with the 1st Division in France. He belonged to the Mon Valley World War I Barracks and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 167;Charleroi. He was a retired employee of the Allenport Plant;Pittsburgh Steel Co. Surviving are his widow;Virginia Sneed Bickerton;two brothers;Robert;Charleroi R.D.2 and Harvey Bickerton;Charleroi; a sister;Lucinda Bickerton;Charleroi R.D.2 and a niece;Mrs.George (Babe) Boulanger;Charleroi R.D.2. Friends will be received at the Harold L.Schrock Funeral Home;Fayette City;Sunday July 24;from 12 to 4 and 7 to 10 p.m.and Monday July 25 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.Services will be held Tuesday;July 26;at 2 p.m.from the funeral home;with the Rev.David N.Morton;assistant pastor of the Presbyterian Church;Charleroi;officiating.
