Robert C. (Bobby) Bailey,21,son of a Monessen patrolman, died in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital on Wednesday, May 6,1964 at 5:35 p.m. Death was attributed to barbituate intoxication and bronchial pneumonia. He had been hospitalized the past three days. He was the son of Patrolman and Mrs. Leroy Bailey, Sr.,of 936 Grant St.,Monessen. He was a member of the National American Guild Variety Artists,Pittsburgh,a dancing organization. He was born in Monessen on June 26,1942. Surviving besides his parents are four sisters, Mrs. Charlotte Taylor of Pittsburgh,Mrs. Leona Mitchell of San Francisco,Calif.,Mrs. Hilda Young of Raleigh,N.C. and Deborah at home,and one brother, Leroy Bailey,Jr. of Washington, D.C. Friends are being received at the Beverly C. Draper Funeral Home, Monessen after 7 p.m. on Thursday. A Blessing service will take place on Saturday,May 9,at 9:30 a.m. followed by Requiem High Mass at 10 a.m. from St. Leonard's R.C.Church,Monessen. The Rev. Joseph A. Corrado,assistant pastor,will officiate. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly C. Draper,funeral director.
