Obituary

George William Boston,74,of 613 Henry St.,Belle Vernon,died in the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital on Sunday,Feb.18,1962,at 9:20 a.m. He was a retired employee of the P.and L.E.Railroad,having worked for the company for 45 years. For the past nine years he was associated with William Mascara of the Broad Ave. Jewelers in Belle Vernon. He was a member of the Board of Education in North Belle Vernon for 23 years,now known as the Bellmarette Jointure School District. He was also a member of the First Christian Church of Belle Vernon,and the Belle Vernon Lodge 643,F.and A.M. He is survived by his widow,Mrs.Elizabeth Boston,one son,Ross O.Boston of Belle Vernon,one daughter,Mrs.Ernest (Hilda) Como,of Belle Vernon,three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Friends will be received at the Toner Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,during hours of 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Services will be held there Wednesday,Feb.21,at 2 p.m.,in charge of the Rev.Everett Oakes,pastor of the Belle Vernon Christian Church. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R. Toner,Belle Vernon,is the funeral director.
