Mrs, Bertha Burry,71,of Allenport,died in the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital,Saturday,Aug. 27,1960 at 6:35 p.m. She was born in Louisville,Ky.,Aug. 12,1889 and came to Allenport in 1918 from her birthplace. She was a member of the Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her husband,Julius D. Burry,on Dec.21,1955. She is survived by one son, Edgar J. Burry of Allenport,four daughters, Mrs. Averill (Minetta) Farquhar,Allenport,Mrs. Charles (Marie) Regula,Charleroi,Mrs. Gibson (Ruth) Chester,Roscoe,Mrs. John (LaVerne) McCrory,Fayette City,one brother,Albert R. Geiser of Lexington,Ky.,and ten grandchildren. Friends are being received at the late home. Services will be held there Aug. 31,1960,at 1:30 p.m. in charge of Rev. J. Theodore Hanniford of the Roscoe Presbyterian Church. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D. Ferguson is the funeral director.
