Obituary

James C.Black,64,of 339 Green St.,Belle Vernon died Wednesday Aug.3,1960,at 2:45 p.m.at the Mercy Hospital,Pittsburgh. He was a carpenter and a member of the Carpenters Local,A.F.of L.,Charleroi,and the Methodist Church of Belle Vernon. Mr.Black was a veteran of World War I. He is survived by his wife,Alice Hammitt Black,one daughter,Mrs.Russell (Janet) Gray of Belle Vernon,three sons,Jamec C.Jr.,of Charleroi,Loren R.of Charleroi and Robert L.of Tampa,Fla.,and 11 grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Toner Funeral Home,Belle Vernon from 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.until Saturday,Aug.6,at 2 p.m.when services will be held there with the Rev.William Schatz,pastor of the First Methodist Church,Belle Vernon officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner,funeral director.
